Metallica - Gods!
A truly remarkable experience - the show was electrifying, stunning both audio and visual. The openers, Gojira and Lamb of God, were just great. I was thrilled to see Gojira, one of my favorite bands. Everything I expected and more was delivered by World Famous Pets' performance. The setlist was completely metal-oriented and great, with no Load and Re-Load songs, and no St. Anger (though I enjoy these albums). It was the first time playing more songs from the new album, and the crowd was very into them. The diversity in the crowd was cool to see - teens, 20's, 30's, parents with their teen kids, moms, chicks, everything.
If you are a diehard, long-time Metallica fan, don't be disappointed if they don't play 'your' song. They have so many songs and play only an average of 2:10. Also, don't expect large solos from Kirk and Trujillo.
